How it works

1. Create your campaign

When creating an ad campaign, you will need to choose the products you want to advertise, how much you are willing to bid on a click, your budget, and the campaign's duration. We recommend continuously running campaigns to keep your products top of mind for shoppers.

Select keywords for your ad to target. If you are using Sponsored Products, you can use automatic targeting to save time and have Amazon target your ads to all relevant customer searches based on your product information.

2. Shoppers see your ad

Sponsored Products ads are eligible to launch immediately, while Headline Search Ads must undergo moderation review. Based on relevance and bid, ads are shown to customers with matching search terms. Ads appear in high-visibility spots like page 1 of search results and product detail pages.

When shoppers click on your Sponsored Products ad, they are taken to your product detail page. Your Headline Search Ad will take shoppers to a custom landing page.

3. Measure success

Use reports to see for yourself the return you get for each dollar spent. These insights will help you measure performance and optimise your ad spend.

Sponsored Products and Headline Search Ads operate on a cost-per-click, auction-based pricing model. You bid the maximum amount that you are willing to pay when a shopper clicks an ad for your product. The more competitive your bid is, the higher the chances that your ad will be displayed when it matches an Amazon shopper’s search.

By default, advertising costs are deducted directly from your Amazon seller account balance. You're only charged when your ad receives clicks.
