Selling online on Amazon is an easy and effective way to reach millions of potential buyers. Whether you have to sell a little or sell a lot, Amazon provides you the required tools and experience to sell online successfully.
Before you register
Decide what you want to sell
More than 20 product categories are open to all sellers, and more are available only to Professional Sellers.
With two selling plans, Amazon offers you the flexibility to sell one, or one thousand. The Professional plan gives you the opportunity to sell an unlimited number of products and pay a £25 (excl. VAT) monthly subscription fee. Individuals pay no monthly fees, but instead pay £0.75 per item sold. Both Professionals and Individuals pay additional selling fees when an item sells.
Create your account on Seller Central, the Web interface where you will also manage your selling account.

After you register
You can add products to the Amazon Marketplace catalog one at a time, or if you have a Professional selling subscription, you can add large batches of items using bulk tools.
Two ways to list products:
List products already on Amazon.co.uk
Indicate how many products you have to sell, condition of the product(s), and shipping options.
List products not yet on Amazon.co.uk
Identify UPC/EAN and SKU
List products attributes - for example title, description
You have several options for managing orders depending on the number of orders you receive:
Manage Orders tool - See a list of your orders, and view details about a selected order in seller central.
Order Reports - Receive order fulfilment information for multiple orders by running a single report.
Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) - If you have developer services available, and you have a Professional selling plan, consider using the Marketplace Web Service Order API to retrieve information about events (including new orders) in your seller account.
You will need a valid, non-expired credit card. We currently accept internationally chargeable credit cards.
2. Phone number
You will be asked to provide a valid phone number with the country code.
3. Company registration details
Business information: You will need to specify the business type, business registration number and the date the business was registered. Address: We will also need your registered business address.
4. Primary contact information
A primary contact person is either the account holder (the registered seller) or the person who has access to the Selling on Amazon payment account, provides the registration information on behalf of the account holder and initiates transactions, such as disbursements and refunds. Actions taken by the primary contact are deemed to be taken by the account holder.
You will need to provide:
Identity details: You can use a valid passport or national ID. Residential address: You will need to provide the residential address of the primary contact person. In some cases, you may be asked to submit a utility bill or bank statement as proof of this address.
5. Beneficial owner information
In some cases, if you are registering as a business, you may need to provide beneficial owner information. Beneficial owners are natural persons who own or control the business through direct or indirect ownership over 20% or more of the shares or voting rights of the business, or any other natural person who otherwise exercises control over the management of the business.
For the beneficial owners, you will need to provide:
Identity details: You can use a valid passport or national ID. Residential address: You will need to provide the residential address of each beneficial owner. In some cases, you may be asked to submit a utility bill or bank statement as proof of this address.
6. Bank account information
You must provide your bank account details to complete the registration. This account will be used to receive the proceeds from your transactions.
Check this box, if you want to sell your products on all five Amazon European marketplaces (Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it and Amazon.es) and get access to millions of additional buyers. You can sell on all these marketplaces without additional subscription fees. After registration, you only need to create listings in your home marketplace and eligible listings will automatically be re-created in the remaining four marketplaces via our “Build international listings” tool. Please read up all the details on international selling here. We will also email them to you once you register.
If you do not check the "Sell on European marketplaces" box now, you can still start selling internationally at any time.
